As an online gallery we aim to
promote a different understanding of contemporary Christian art which highlights the reality and presence of the living Christ.
This Christ fills our lives and presents therefore a relationship experience
in contrast to the seemingly general understanding of a distant God, looking down on us, with whom we "spiritually" communicate.
In Monsma's view, true Christian art
is not an expression of external religious divinity but rather one of the Christ presence from within.
A living account of a new found freedom encased in dependency,
liberty rooted in obedience.

Cornelis Monsma's vision
is:
- to picture the joy of the new life in Christ.
- to show the indwelling "new framework" of the living Christ through art.
- to express the
dynamics of a righteous life without end in Christ on
canvas.
- to be instrumental in
opening the eyes of my fellow human beings to a life of fullness,
fulfillment and peace in Christ.
